Very tasty joint!! I have the patty melt, that bad boy was so good cheesy and meaty, my fiancé got the Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms ‍ that was actually one of the best Philly cheesesteaks I've ever had. Honestly I was scared of the small kitchen, but that small kitchen is powerful and whipping up magic. Don't judge the book by it b cover check it what's inside. We were pleasantly surprised at the favors and tastiness. The service was really nice, cook asked if we liked our food and it was a harmonious Yes! Over all great spot to pick up lunch my fiancé and I really enjoyed our meal! Cheers!

I lost a crown and was concerned as to whether I could chew a cheesesteak. With that in mind, I ordered a PATTY melt. Much to my surprise, the patty melt is formed from shaved ribeye, not ground meat. It worked out fine. In addition it came with the most incredible French Fries which was a nice surprise. It took longer than I expected to prepare but it was worth the wait.

The best. Gotta love a great cheesesteak baby I wish I had 4 hands so I can give this place 4 thumbs up

Yes I've been here several times! EXCELLENT. Either the owner is a BIG Philly fan or it's just for decor! Very Authentic sandwich. The Very BEST Philly Cheese Steak I've had in the West Coast! Priced fare!

Facing a 5 hour drive home after working in SD, I had to pit stop and figured I'd grab something to eat on the drive. Saw this great little spot in the corner of the lot and decided to give it a try. The Good: The minimalist decor was dedicated to all things Philly. But I knew this place was going to be legit when, what I assume was the owner, came to the counter to take my order decked out in Phillies gear. Nice touch. I ordered the traditional whiz width which is the cheeses whiz with grilled onions. You can get it with all kinds of options but I had to go local to compare it against the ones I've had in Philly. Sandwich: so while the steak (ribeye), onions, and cheese ratios are important to a good Philly, I think the bread is what makes the difference and this place nails it. Soft and absorbent, the roll was perfect. Whiz isn't for everyone and I'd like to try the white American or provolone if I ever go back but if you like a good ol fashion cheesesteak, it was excellent. Fries: initially I wasn't going to get fries but I'm glad I did. They were hot, crispy, and perfectly salty. Great compliment to go with the steak. The Bad: not necessarily bad but if you are going to eat there, the ambiance is made for efficiency. The dining area is no frills so if you're looking to just hang out with a date, better to get the sandwich to go and enjoy the beautiful beaches in the area. But if you're blowing through town on a solo mission up the 5, it's perfect for a grind a go. The Ugly: nothing ugly about my experience. I'd highly recommend this place and wish I had it closer to my area. Every once in awhile I crave a good cheesesteak and it is almost impossible to find outside of Philadelphia.

No clue what these other recent reviews are talking about! I had a bomb sandwich that was fresh, hot, and stuffed with meat and mushrooms. It was absolutely delicious and I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area. I liked the spot very much. It was calm, quiet, and had plenty of tables for the lunch hour. Food came out quickly and everyone seemed friendly.
